Salam School Eid Celebration

SALAM Islamic school held their Eid Celebration Party on Tuesday, December the 1st 2009 at the school main hall. Parents, students and teachers enjoyed a day filled with various activities in celebration of Eid Ul-Adha. The festivities included face painting, performances by the students, pizza party, balloons, and goody bags.
The celebration started at 10:00AM with a beautiful group recitation of Surat Al-Humazza by the 1st grade students. It was followed by several individual recitation by students from KG and 1st grade. Next it was KG students’ turn as they performed a very beautiful nasheed followed by an Eid song. Many of the students enjoyed getting their faces painted while others were spelling their names with alphabet cookies and decorating them with M&M candy and sprinkles.
One of the teachers commented, “It's nice to see the kids having a relaxed and fun day at school.” One of the parents said, “I'm really happy to see that while my kids are learning and getting their academic and Islamic education, they are also able to be kids and have fun.”
