Reflecting on Last Year
In Summer 2024, SALAM welcomed an incredible group of high school and college students as part of the first-ever Taqwa Summer Internship Program — a transformative 10-week journey rooted in learning, growth, community, and service.
Our interns worked side-by-side with the SALAM team to organize major events, lead meaningful projects, and engage with guest speakers from Sacramento’s nonprofit, tech, education, and government sectors. Their summer was filled with real impact, skill-building, and memorable connections that planted seeds for a lifetime of leadership.
