Weekend School Principal

Are you passionate about Islamic education and community service? SALAM Islamic Center is seeking a dedicated Weekend School Principal to lead and manage our weekend educational program. This position can be either volunteer or paid, depending on the candidate’s preference and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in education, Islamic studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Background in Islamic Education: Experience in teaching or managing Islamic educational programs.
  • Fluency in Two or More Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Additional fluency in Arabic, Dari, and Pashtu is highly desirable.
  • Managerial Skills: Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage the school’s operations, staff, and students effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the weekend school’s curriculum and educational activities.
  • Manage and support a team of teachers and administrative staff.
  • Ensure the school meets its educational goals and objectives.
  • Engage with parents and the community to foster a supportive learning environment.

Weekend School Teachers

SALAM Islamic Center is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Weekend School teaching team. Positions are available for both volunteers and paid teachers who are passionate about Islamic education and youth development.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Two or More Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Additional fluency in Arabic, Dari, and Pashtu is highly desirable.
  • Islamic Studies Education, Knowledge, or Background: A strong understanding of Islamic teachings and values.
  • Be a Role Model: Ability to inspire and lead by example.
  • Ability to Read Quran in Arabic Without Mistakes: Proficiency in reading the Quran correctly.
  • Knowledge of Tajweed Rules: Understanding of Tajweed rules is a plus, but training will be provided for those who need it.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Islamic studies and Quran to students of various ages.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Prepare lesson plans and educational materials.
  • Foster a sense of community and Islamic values among students.
