Who can join this trip?
Everyone is welcome, and families may bring children as long as anyone under 18 travels with a parent or legal guardian.
What is the total group size, and how many staff members are traveling with us?
We’re capping registration at 35 pilgrims to keep the experience personal. You’ll be accompanied by four leaders: Imam Abass Darab and Sr. Arwa Houry from SALAM, plus two professional coordinators from our partner agency. That 9-to-1 pilgrim-to-staff ratio means questions get answered and needs are met—quickly.
What are the travel dates and which airline are we using?
We depart Saturday, November 22 → return Tuesday, December 2, 2025 (11 days / 10 nights) on Emirates Airlines. The standard itinerary begins with a complimentary SALAM bus from Sacramento to SFO, then SFO → Dubai → Madinah. The return route is Jeddah → Dubai → SFO, followed by the bus back to Sacramento.

How many days will we spend in Madinah versus Makkah, and how close are the hotels to each Ḥaram?
Our itinerary allows four full days in Madinah, followed by four full days in Makkah (travel days book-end the trip).
Madinah: Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick—practically on the Ḥaram courtyard; most people reach the women’s or men’s gates in 2–3 minutes.
Makkah: Swissotel Makkah—a comfortable 5-minute walk to the Haram.
What is Emirates Airlines’ baggage allowance, and may I check Zamzam water on the return flight?
Each pilgrim is entitled to two checked bags (23 kg / 50 lb each) plus a carry-on and personal item. Emirates Airlines still permits the traditional 5-liter Zamzam box as one of your checked pieces on the way home—no extra charge.
Will a scholar guide us through the rites step-by-step?
Absolutely. Imam Abass will lead an in-person workshop in Sacramento before departure, covering the pillars of ʿUmrah, common mistakes, and practical tips. In Makkah and Madinah he’ll hold daily ḥalaqas and reminders, accompany the group for the first tawāf and sa‘y, and remain on call for individual questions.
Will we have free time for shopping or personal Ziyārat?
Yes. You’ll have blocks of unscheduled time to rest, explore the markets, or make personal visits. A detailed day-by-day itinerary will be shared once flights are ticketed so you can plan ahead.
How much is the deposit and when are payments due?
There is no separate deposit, the full package price is required at the time of booking to secure your seat, airfare, and hotel rooms.
What is the refund policy if I need to cancel after paying in full?
Once we receive your passport and proceed with booking your airfare and processing your visa, the trip becomes non-refundable. This is because airlines and visa services do not offer refunds after booking is finalized.
Please keep in mind that prices will increase every month, as airfare costs rise closer to the travel date.
