Over 37 years ago, SALAM Islamic Center was founded with a vision to create a space that serves the religious, educational, and social needs of Muslims in Northern California. From its modest beginnings, SALAM has grown into a vibrant hub for worship, community building, and interfaith collaboration. With each phase of our development, we have come closer to realizing our ultimate aspiration: fostering a deeper connection to Islamic knowledge and heritage.

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.” 20:114 (وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا)

The Center is the cornerstone of Phase III of SALAM’s expansion. Located on the first floor, it complements the serenity of the masjid above, fostering a holistic environment of worship and learning.
