Every Night

Taraweeh and Khatiras

We invite you to step into the beauty of this blessed month and experience Ramadan with us in a way that restores the heart and strengthens the soul. Whether you’re with us every night or joining whenever you’re able, you are part of our SALAM family.

Our Taraweeh prayers and nightly khawatir are designed to help us tend to the Kingdom within, to reflect, realign, and return to Allah ﷻ with greater sincerity and purpose. As we pray together, we’ll explore how the state of the heart shapes our worship, our character, and our everyday actions, and how worship, in turn, cultivates a heart that is upright and alive.

Come pray with us, renew your intentions, and invest in the spiritual kingdom of the heart. We look forward to sharing these sacred nights with you, seeking mercy, clarity, and nearness to Allah ﷻ, together.

Taraweeh Prayers

  • First Night of Taraweeh: Tuesday, February 17
  • Isha at 7:45 PM, followed by Taraweeh

We are blessed to have Shaykh Achour El-Qaddoury leading our Taraweeh prayers this year, bringing the beauty and depth of his Qur’an recitation to our community night after night.

His recitation is a reminder that the Qur’an doesn’t simply pass through the ears; it settles into the heart. We pray that these nights of Taraweeh become a means for renewed reflection, deeper connection, and a heart drawn closer to Allah ﷻ.

Childcare

We understand the importance of making Ramadan accessible for everyone, including families with young children.

🧒 Childcare will be available from 7:45 PM to 9:45 PM for those attending Taraweeh, for kids aged 3 to 9 only.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Children 10 years and older should remain with their parents during the prayer.
🕌 Parents with children under 10 years old who prefer not to use the childcare service may pray in the downstairs auditorium, where they can still participate in the prayers in a comfortable setting.

The Kingdom of the Heart

Allah ﷻ has decreed in His wisdom that the true nobility of a person is determined by the uprightness of their heart and limbs. In contrast, harm and other evils occur at the absence of this uprightness.

“Within every human being is a Kingdom. The heart is the ruler of this Kingdom, and the rest of the body are its subjects. If the heart rules with justice and excellence, the body will perform good actions, and the Kingdom will flourish. If, however, the heart neglects its duties, the body will be in a state of disobedience to Allah ﷻ and the entire Kingdom will suffer the consequences. Allah made this Kingdom so crucial that through it the eternal and everlasting dominion of the next life is either gained or lost.”

This Ramadan, we will journey together to gain deeper insights into the cultivation of this spiritual kingdom of the heart and explore how our outward actions have an impact on the state of our heart. This will allow us to clarify the wisdom and purpose of our acts of worship, ultimately drawing us closer to Allah ﷻ.
