Launching a New Program

We are thrilled to introduce the Afghan Women’s Resource Center, a brand-new program at the SALAM Islamic Center in Sacramento, CA!

This FREE initiative supports our sisters and families who have arrived in the US within the past two years.

Launch Date: Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, at 10 am

The Afghan Women’s Support Center is a 12-week program that provides essential guidance and support as you navigate and adapt to your new environment. Our classes, held three times a week, are tailored to meet your needs, covering fundamental topics in various fields, including government aid, regional resources, and adapting to your new environment.

What We Offer:
Our free weekly program will provide workshops covering vital topics, such as:

  • Immigration processes
  • Job readiness
  • Enrolling kids in school
  • Learning English
  • Family health
  • And many more!

Program Details:

  • The program will be conducted in Dari.
  • Refreshments will be provided.
  • Transportation is available.
