The Afghan Women’s Support Center, a program at the SALAM Islamic Center in Sacramento, CA!

This FREE initiative supports our Afghan sisters and families who have arrived in the US within the past two years.

The Afghan Women’s Support Center is a 12-week program that provides essential guidance and support as you navigate and adapt to your new environment. Our classes, held three times a week, are tailored to meet your needs, covering fundamental topics in various fields, including government aid, regional resources, and adapting to your new environment.

Workshop Topics

Our FREE 12-week program will provide workshops covering vital topics, such as:

  • Immigration processes 🌐
  • Job readiness 📚
  • Enrolling kids in school 🎒
  • Learning English 🗣️
  • Family health 💪
  • And many more!

Saturdays, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

Session Dates:

  • October: 21, 28
  • November: 4, 11, 18
  • December: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

– Delivered in Dari
– Meeting through Zoom
– Must be an ARSI participant and registered with SALAM, GERA, or CAIR.
