Disconnect to Reconnect. Join us for a weekend of snow activities, cozy cabin vibes, prayer, and deep reflection. This is a faith-forward, halal, and sisterhood-centered space designed for young professional women to pause, breathe, and reset their spiritual intentions for the new year.

Whether you are an advanced snowboarder or just want to sip cocoa by the fire, you are welcome here.

    • Return: Sunday Mid-day

Friday | Arrival & Intention

  • 5:00 PM: Depart from SALAM (Coordinated carpools)
  • Evening: Arrival at the cabin
  • Night: Community Dinner, Welcome Circle, Safety Briefing, and Opening Duʿa

Saturday | The Snow Day

  • Morning: Fajr & Group Breakfast
  • Daytime: Head to the slopes! We will ride in buddy groups based on skill level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced).
  • Afternoon: Dhuhr/Asr prayer break & lunch on the mountain.
  • Evening: Return to cabin for a warm dinner.
  • Night: Reflection Circle & Journaling Session.

Sunday | Reflection & Return

  • Morning: Fajr & Breakfast
  • Late Morning: Pack up & Group Photo
  • Mid-day: Caravan return to Sacramento

Must-Haves:

  • Waterproof boots & warm socks
  • Base layers (thermals) & Snow pants
  • Insulated jacket, gloves, beanie, neck gaiter
  • Sunglasses & Sunscreen/Lip balm (SPF is vital on snow!)
  • Toiletries, personal meds, & water bottle
  • Prayer rug
  • Journal + Pen

🏂 Bring Your Own

Have your own equipment? Great!

  • Skis or Snowboard: Totally fine to bring your own.
  • Storage: We will have space in the cabin for safe storage overnight.
  • Transport: Please ensure your carpool vehicle has a rack or space for your gear.

  • Bear Valley Resort: Weekend packages available (pickup on-mountain).
  • Pricing: Ski vs. Snowboard pricing may differ slightly.
  • Storage: Day lockers and equipment storage are available at the resort base.

Winter Driving Safety: Carpools will be coordinated after registration.
Important: Snow chains are strongly recommended (and legally required if conditions demand). Please plan to arrive at SALAM early—we depart promptly at 5:00 PM.
