
We want to remind you that Zakat applications will be received every Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 am until 1 pm, from Wednesday, March 22nd until Thursday, April 13th.
We understand the importance of Zakat in fulfilling our religious obligation to support those in need. Therefore, we encourage all those who are eligible to apply for Zakat assistance during this time.
Please note that Zakat disbursements will be made on Friday, April 14th.

Zakat-ul-Fitr (Fitrana)
Zakat-ul-Fitr is an obligatory form of giving that is required of every Muslim during Ramadan. It is paid before Eid-ul-Fitr prayers so that the poor can enjoy the day of Eid.
Zakat-ul Fitr is [$13] for each person in the family.
Zakat-ul-Mal
Zakat-ul-Mal is payable at 2.5% of your wealth. All [cash, gold, silver, property] over your needs that are kept unused for a whole year and is above the nisab.
Nisab equals 85 grams of gold. It is the minimum amount of wealth one must have before they are liable to pay Zakat-ul-Mal.
Zakat-ul Mal is [2.5%] of funds in excess of your needs that are kept unused for a full year.
