Some 35 years ago, a vision became a reality in the Sacramento region. The Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims (SALAM) mosque began in Sacramento. It was the dream of Dr. Metwali Amer and his wife, Professor Rosalie Amer. It has served as a beacon for learning, worship, and social assembly ever since.
