Executive Director Corner
Sr. Gulshan Yusufzai, the Executive Director of MAS Social Services Foundation, met with the Office Manager and me last week at SALAM Office of Learning Resources to discuss a new partnership with SALAM Islamic Center.
MAS-SSF received 10 contracts from various sources to help the refugees, including the new wave of Afghanis coming to Sacramento. She is requesting SALAM to partner with the Foundation to assist in fulfilling the requirements of these contracts. Some of these requests involve using SALAM facilities for training, using SALAM social media facilities, Newsletter, and personnel to spread the word, and enabling Sr. Gulshan to meet with the Board and Directors to inform them of such mutual partnership.
As part of the Muslim and the larger Sacramento Community, SALAM is committed to paying its fair share in helping the refugees and all those in need. It is our Islamic duty.
