Recruiting Executive Director & Associate Imam Is moving forward
One example of SALAM moving to the next level is the approval of the Board to appoint a new Executive Director and Associate Imam several months ago. The process of recruiting qualified candidates for these two new positions is progressing at a fast track.
Recruiting Process Update | Executive Director
Since the establishment of SALAM in 1987, Dr. Metwalli Amer volunteered to serve as the Executive Director because the SALAM Management decided to focus all its financial resources on building its structures. Br. Saeed Ahmed also volunteered to fill in the same position for three years.
The time has come to hire a new Executive Director with new and fresh ideas to manage SALAM.
Two candidates were interviewed through Zoom. One of them, Br. Abdul-Qawiy Abdul-Karim, MPA, will visit SALAM on Thursday, December 2, 2021, and will stay during that weekend. More candidates are lined up for interviews.
Recruiting Process Update | Associate Imam
The Associate Imam is a new position that is needed to meet the expanding religious programs and activities. Also, investing in the youth to uplift them spiritually is one of the emphases of SALAM Management.
This coming Friday, Sheikh Nafees Ahmed Islahi will be visiting SALAM for an interview for the Associate Imam position. He will be delivering the Friday Khutbah at 1:15 pm. We invite you to join us and give us your input.
